Historical Statistics of the United States Historical Statistics of the United States: Millennial Edition, is the standard source for the quantitative facts of American history. The reference source include over 37,000 data series.
History Resource Center: U.S. History Resource Center: U.S. provides access to over 4,000 historical (primary) documents, articles from more than 30 reference titles, and over 110 full-text journal covering themes, events, individuals and periods in U.S. history from pre-Colonial times to the present.
History Resource Center: World History Resource Center: World is a comprehensive collection of reference, full-text articles from leading scholarly publications, an array of primary sources, and images, maps and charts which provide expansive geographic and chronologic research materials for the study of world history.
Intelecom Online Resources Network (Video Clip Library) *Please contact a librarian for log-in and password. Intelecom is a searchable video clip database covering a wide variety of disciplines. Topic-specific clips average 3 to 5 minutes in length and are closed-captioned.
JSTOR Full-text access to archives for over 500 scholarly journals in thirty arts, humanities, and social sciences disciplines (Title Lists: Arts & Sciences I-IV & Complement).
The Latino American Experience The Latino American Experience is a full-text digital resource exploring the history and culture of U.S. Latinos. Its content spans from the pre-Columbian Indigenous civilizations of the Americas, through the Spanish and Mexican settlement of much of what is now the United States, to the triumphs and challenges facing present-day U.S. Latinos.
Letters & Diaries: North American Women North American Women's Letters and Diaries (NWLD) includes the immediate experiences of 1,325 women and 150,000 pages of diaries and letters, from Colonial to 1950. This database is also included in Social & Cultural History: Letters & Diaries Online.

Literature Criticism Online (Drama, Poetry, & Short Stories) The Literature Criticism Online database is a supplement to Literature Resource Center (below), and contains full-text criticism of Drama, Poetry, and Short Stories.
Literature Resource Center A comprehensive Literature reference database; includes full-text biographical, bibliographical, and critical content. Based on the Thomson Gale printed reference series, including Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism Select, and Dictionary of Literary Biography.
Magill OnLiterature Plus The premier literary database, combining content of MagillOnLiterature and MagillOnAuthors (via EBSCOhost).

NetLibrary / e-Books The NetLibrary e-book collection totals over 25,000 titles in a broad range of reference, scholarly, and professional works from some of the world's top universities and commercial presses. Video: Using NetLibrary eBooks
New York Times-Historical (1851-2006) The New York Times (1851-2006) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue. For current NYT articles (2007-present), search PQ Newspapers.
Nursing Resource Center Nursing Resource Center brings together respected medical titles from Gale and Macmillan with thorough nursing-specific texts from Thomson Delmar. (Trial expires 6/30/11)
Opposing Viewpoints In Context OVIC is a full-text social issues database, organizing current periodical articles, viewpoint essays, reference material, statistics, topic overviews, and select web sites into popular research topic headings.
OVID Nursing: Journals & E-Books Full-text issues of over 20 key titles in nursing and clinical medicine, including AJN: American Journal of Nursing (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins). Ten e-books are also available in a variety of nursing subjects.
Oxford Art Online The most comprehensive online reference resource for all aspects of the visual arts worldwide from prehistory to the present day. Includes topical and biographical essays, images and illustrations
Oxford English Dictionary The OED Online contains the history and meanings of over 600,000 English words. Over 2.5 million quotations from diverse sources to trace the usage of new and old vocabulary.
Oxford Music Online An integrated music resource on the web, including the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (second edition), The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz (second edition).
Oxford Reference Online Oxford Reference Online is a full-text Scholarly Reference Collection, providing coverage of the full subject spectrum, ready-reference, and the resources of the Oxford Companions.

ProQuest by Popular Subjects:

Full-text articles from thousands of periodicals. MiraCosta's ProQuest Collection contains over 20 databases. Users may search all databases or select individual resources. In addition to the interdisciplinary database with magazine, journal and newspaper articles, the PQ collection includes specialized resources in health and psychology, education, careers, and biology. Other resources include hundreds of newspapers (New York Times, LA Times), industry publications, and peer-reviewed journals in accounting, business, and technology.

PsycArticles (APA) PsycArticles (APA) via EBSCOhost contains the full-text of 58 journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & Huber.
Reference Center / NetLibrary The NetLibrary Reference Center includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, directories, thesauri, and more. Topics covered include science, history, business, technology, law, and medicine.

Scientific American Online (NPG)

The Scientific American Archive Online provides cover to cover access of Scientific American in color PDF (full-text) from 1993 to the present (via Nature.com).

Small Business Resource Center Small Business Resource Center offers small business management resources via a combination of relevant periodicals and reference content. Includes resources for industry research, financial planning, marketing products, and franchising a business. (Trial expires 6/30/11)
Social & Cultural History: Letters & Diaries Online Social & Cultural History is a collection of Letters & Diaries and other personal narratives. In addition to over two thousand publicly accessible collections from museum, archive, and historical society repositories, the following Alexander Street Press Collections are included: The American Civil War: Letters & Diaries; Black Thought & Culture; British & Irish Women's Letters & Diaries; Immigrant Letters, Diaries, & Oral Histories; Women's Letters & Diaries.

Theatre in Video

Theatre in Video represents hundreds of leading playwrights, actors and directors. Included in this database are online streaming video of live performances, as well as film documentaries, covering the pre-eminent names in theatre. The BBC Shakespeare series (60 titles) is also included.
