Get SURF ID
Students can retrieve their SURF ID and password online using the Student Help Desk password assistance form. Access to all online library resources requires a valid SURF ID and password.
Faculty & Staff use email/network username and password (do not insert "usa\"). Forgot your password? Use the Employee Helpdesk to reset.

Library Resources: Access from Off-Campus
Access to library online databases from off-campus locations is available to current MiraCosta Students, Faculty, & Staff.
- To access Library Online Databases from off-campus locations, always use database links from the MiraCosta College Library web pages.
- Users will be prompted to enter their SURF ID and SURF Password to log-in to the database selected (for faculty & staff, this is the same as your email log-in).
- During the same Internet browser session, one log-in will provide access to subsequent database selections.

Acceptable Use of Library Online Databases
- A valid SURF ID and SURF Password are required for off-campus access to all MiraCosta College Library Online Databases.
- Users should not facilitate unauthorized access by others.
- Use of all Online Databases is limited to educational and personal research purposes.
- Online Database content may be protected by Copyright Law.
- Community Library users (i.e., users without a SURF ID) may use the Library Online Databases from on campus only.
