Current Trial Databases
The following research databases are currently available for a limited time to MiraCosta College through the consortium for cooperative purchasing sponsored by the Community College League of California, the Council of Chief Librarians, Tierra del Sol Library Network, the CSU-SEIR (California State University - Software and Electronic Information Resources), and various publishers.
- Most database trials require a password for access. Consult with a Librarian for all trial passwords.

This resource is a searchable repository of curriculum-based video learning objects (i.e. clips) for online and distance learning. Subjects covered by the clip library include Adult Basic Education, Health, History, Oceanography, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, & Environmental Studies.

Global Issues in Context offers global perspectives on issues of international importance and current world events and topics in the news related to these issues.
History Resource Center: U.S. provides access to over 4,000 historical (primary) documents, articles from more than 30 reference titles, and over 110 full-text journal covering themes, events, individuals and periods in U.S. history from pre-Colonial times to the present.
History Resource Center: World is a comprehensive collection of reference, full-text articles from leading scholarly publications, an array of primary sources, and images, maps and charts which provide expansive geographic and chronologic research materials for the study of world history.
Nursing Resource Center brings together respected medical titles from Gale and Macmillan with thorough nursing-specific texts from Thomson Delmar.
The Business & Company Resource Center provides business, company, and industry content, including articles from periodicals and news sources, press releases, and detailed information for domestic and international companies and associations.
Small Business Resource Center offers small business management resources via a combination of relevant periodicals and reference content. Includes resources for industry research, financial planning, marketing products, and franchising a business.
