  • CQ Researcher
    Weekly Congressional Quarterly Press reports offering analysis of most current major controversial issues with summaries, pros and cons, statistics, and bibliographies. CQ Press archives date back to 1991.

    Writings of over 1100 major American black leaders, covering 250 years of history. Authors include black teachers, artists, politicians, religious leaders, athletes, war veterans, entertainers, and other leaders.

 Scholarly (or Academic or Peer-Reviewed) Articles are:

  • Written by experts in the subject
  • Published in a scholarly journal
  • Peer-reviewed

These articles:

  • Share the expert's original research
  • Use technical language
  • Use many in-text citations
  • Include lengthy references
  • Often include tables, charts, and graphs
  • Do not usually have advertisements
