Q: I have materials checked out from the library. How do I return them?
A: Due dates from all library materials, including laptops and wifi hotspots, have been extended until June 1, 2020. If you are planning to leave the area indefinitely, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, so we can discuss how you can return items before you leave.
Q: I normally use the textbooks available in the library. How can I get access to the textbook?
A: Please let your instructor know that you need access to your textbook. Instructors are working with the librarians and the textbook publishers to obtain online access to the textbooks. Only your instructor can request that the library scan certain chapters or pages, so please do contact your instructor directly.
Q: I need research help. What should I do?
A: The library’s chat line is open 24/7 to assist you. You can access online chat from the Library website at library.miracosta.edu. Please note that the librarian responding to your chat session may be from another institution. Also, it is difficult to check multiple citations on chat. If you have more than one or two, please email us your citation page--either as an attachment or a link to your Google doc. Make sure to let us know if you are using MLA or APA format. Our email is email@example.com.
Q: Where can I request a computer and/or Internet access to complete my courses?
A: You can submit a request to the Campus Assessment, Resources, and Education (CARE) program.
