• Deadline to register to vote: October 21, 2024
• Deadline to submit vote-by-mail ballot request: October 29, 2024
• If you miss the deadline, you can still vote in person with Same Day Voter Registration, also known as Conditional Voter Registration
• If you don't know your registration status, you can check your voter registration

• Oct. 7: Ballots mailed to registered voters; early in-person voting begins at the Registrar's office
• Oct. 8: Ballot drop box locations open
• Oct. 21: Voter registration deadline (see also Same Day Voter Registration)
• Oct. 26: Select vote centers and Registrar's office open daily 8 am to 5 pm
• Nov. 2: San Diego Registrar's office and over 200 vote centers in San Diego county open 8 am to 5 pm
• Nov. 5: Election Day! Last day to vote in-person. All vote centers, ballot drop boxes and Registrar's office are open 7 am to 8 pm. All mail-in ballots must be postmarked on or before Nov. 5 and received by Nov. 12 to be counted.
• Dec. 5: Last day for states to certify election results
