Library & Information Hub Policies

Oceanside Library & Information Hub

There are ten student group study rooms in the Library & Information Hub.  All of the rooms are available through our Online Reservation System.

Students may reserve rooms for up to three consecutive hours in a day. Please check in to the Circulation Desk for your reservation, or with the Librarian on duty on the 1st floor for Room 1229. Please have at least two of your group members present at your reservation time to be admitted to the room.  We hold room reservations for 10 minutes before the reservation is canceled and open to other study groups.

Those rooms with computers have a mouse and keyboard that are available to check out at the Circulation Desk. Laptops and HDMI cables are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. Cell phone tripods are available for checkout as well. As per MiraCosta College Board Policy, food is not allowed in our study rooms. Drinks in approved containers are acceptable. Please keep voices to a normal level as these rooms are not sound-proof.

San Elijo Library & Information Hub

There are two group study rooms in the Library & Information Hub. All of the rooms are available through our Online Reservation System.

Laptops and HDMI cables are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. Cell phone tripods are available for checkout as well. As per MiraCosta College Board Policy, food is not allowed in our study rooms. Drinks in approved containers are acceptable. Please keep voices to a normal level as these rooms are not sound-proof.

When the Writing Center is closed, please visit the Reference Desk or Circulation Desk to unlock your reserved study room.

Community Learning Center

There is an open study space with a couch and comfortable chairs inside the Student Support Services room at the Community Learning Center.
