We are 50 States celebrates the beauty and diversity of each state. Students in Professor Jill Malone’s MAT 110 and 210 courses created videos and images that reflect their perspectives of our 50 states.
How did we become the nation we are today? The United States of America, a nation with a democratic government “of the people, by the people, for the people” (Abraham Lincoln, Gettysburg Address). The story of how America became the nation it is today lies in its founding documents, particularly the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. They have served as the cornerstone of American democracy.
