Library Exhibit Series

About Library Exhibit Series

"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."  --Aristotle

Library exhibits are an integral part of the library's mission to promote academic success, lifelong learning, an appreciation of knowledge, and a diversity of thoughts, opinions, and ideas.

The objective of the MCC Library Exhibit Series is to involve the college community in a visual learning experience beyond classroom walls based on these goals:

  1. to increase interest in library materials and their use;
  2. to provide supplemental library opportunities for intellectual and aesthetic discovery; and
  3. to reflect the diversity of our curriculum, our culture, and our community.

To this end, the MiraCosta College Library sponsors its own displays and exhibits and also considers requests to provide temporary/rotating space for academic departments, student groups recognized by the college, individual staff, faculty, administrators, and students, and community members or organizations that wish to sponsor a display or exhibit.
